Francine's Friends invites you to join us for a winetasting fundraiser for Miss IPFW 2014 - introducing Shana Patel. Shana is currently a senior at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This event will be held from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at Two EE's Winery, 6808 U.S. 24, Huntington, Indiana.

Join us as we help celebrate Shana and the official announcement of her platform  "Be Your Own Advocate — Prioritizing Women's Health" which includes her passion for advocating for all women to become educating, empowered and more aware of their health and ways they can manage it through diet, exercise, and screenings.

You'll also learn about her preparation for the Miss Indiana pageant in June, as well as her announcement of a new partnership with a local women's health organization —  Francine's Friends! The Francine's Friends mammography coach will also be onsite and available for tours during the evening.

"We are so honored to partner with Miss IPFW 2014 to help increase mammography screenings for women in Northeast Indiana," said Sharon Simmons, Francine's Friends board president. "Shana will be a wonderful advocate to help inspire and empower all women to become more aware of their health and ways they can manage it."

"I have been honored to work with Francine’s Friends, which provides a highly accessible and visible community resource, the mobile mammography coach," explained Patel. Because of the work of organizations like Francine Friends, there are more than 2 MILLION breast cancer “survivors” in America today." she concluded.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event. All proceeds from this event go to support Shana as Miss IPFW. Contact brendawigginton@yahoo.com to purchase tickets and/or for more information regarding this event.
